Gemini AI: Google’s Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence Model

  Google is preparing to launch Gemini, its next-generation artificial intelligence model, later this year. Gemini, short for Generalized Multimodal Intelligence Network, is a multimodal AI model that can process multiple types of data and tasks simultaneously, such as text, images, and code. Gemini is expected to compete with OpenAI’s GPT-4, the latest and most advanced large language model in the world. Gemini is built on the foundations of Google’s previous AI models, such as PaLM 2 and AlphaGo. PaLM 2 is the current AI model behind Google’s Bard chatbot and other features such as Duet AI, Help Me Write, and Med-PaLM 2.
